I returned it and just went out and bought a more expensive, reliable model. I kept trying to fix it but no matter what I did the tab kept getting caught. There are 2 metal tabs in it and one of them hung down too low that it caught on the USB when you tried to put it in, so you couldn't put the USB in any farther than halfway. But when I opened and tried to use the adaptor, the USB port wouldn't work. Don't know how that got there since it was in an Amazon bag. So, I purchased another one thinking maybe there was something wrong with it. However, it doesn't always connect properly to my monitor using this adapter and sometimes it doesn't alway recognize the charger.
